The West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) Preliminary Exam is a competitive examination conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) to recruit candidates for various civil service positions in the state of West Bengal in India. The exam consists of two papers: General Studies and Aptitude Test. The General Studies paper tests candidates on a wide range of subjects, including current affairs, history, geography, economics, polity, and general science.
